Mountain to Backwaters

Day 1:- Cochin - Munnar.
Arrive Cochin pick up from Air port/Railway station. Travel to Munnar by taxi cab, stay at Munnar.
Day 2:- Munnar – Anaerangal (Mountain Biking).
We will start at Munnar, the tea town situated at over 1500m. We will take the winding estate roads through the tea gardens & forest patches and through the Lockhart gap overlooking the spectacular Bison Valley deep down below. We will have lunch en-route and reach our destination at Suryanelli. We will spend the night in very comfortably furnished cottage tents at Surynelli after a sumptuous barbeque dinner by the camp fire. O/N at the Anaerangal Camp (All Meals).
Day 3: Munnar – Vandanmedu (Mountain Biking).
After breakfast we will starting our biking around the beautiful Anaerangal lake through the tea estates to Nedungadom. We will pass through thick forests, cardamom estates and spice gardens that has made these cardamom Hills world famous. In the evening, check into the magnificent Carmelia resort at Vandanmedu, set amidst a cardamom & tea estate. O/N at the Carmelia (All meals) Distace: 60 kms.
Day 4: Vandanmedu – Periyar (Mountain Biking).
Our destination today is the short morning ride to Periyar passing through forests, tea gardens and spice plantations. We will reach the forests at Periyar by lunchtime where we can either relax our legs or take off into the jungle. Periyar is one of the best wildlife reserves in India and has large herds of Asiatic elephants, Indian Bison as well as tigers. For the ornithologists it has over 330 species of birds including the majestic Great Hornbill. Check in the Hotel Ambadi Heritage resort. (All meals) (Distance: 20 kms) ayurvedic full body relaxation massage, spice plantation visit, elephant ride or boating at periyar Lake, over night stay at Periyar.
Day 5:- Periyar – Jungle safari & tent camp (Periyar wildlife sanctuary).
The program starts at 5.30am in the morning which our special Jeep will receive you from your accommodation area 40 kms scenic drive through the jungle. Then you will reach a place called Gavi (Green mansion) there you can have your breakfast and you can start the jungle trekking with specially trained guides after 3hrs trekking you will reach the Green mansion and have Lunch. After that you can have canoeing in the Gavi Lake. Then have tea and snacks and proceeding to camp sight over night stay at tent.
Day 6:- Periyar – Alleppy (Backwaters).
After break fast proceed to Alleppy. Check in to the House boat and stay.Alleppy is one of well known tourist destination in Kerala. An enchanting backwater destination, Alleppy offers visitors many other leisure options. Boating and fishing facilities are available at the Tourist retreats in Alleppy. House Boat A cruise along the palm-fringed water ways of Kerala in a luxury house boat is the most enchanting holiday experience. You will skim past ancient Chinese fishing nets, water lilies, lush paddy fields, coir villages, rustic homes, temples and coconut groves.
Day 7:- Alleppy - Cochin.
After break fast drop at Cochin airport / railway station.
